Bonchurch Open Gardens (July)

Last updated:
July 6, 2026

Bonchurch Open Gardens generally happens in early July, in conjunction with the Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival.

Bonchurch starts buzzing in early summer as people are busy getting their gardens ready for visitors! Across the village, secateurs will be snipping, borders lovingly fussed over, and someone will almost certainly arguing with a climbing rose.

All so that you can wander through around 15+ gorgeous private gardens in one of the Island's most beautiful villages.

There is an entry fee which allows you entry to all the gardens across the weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday enjoy an afternoon of wandering, wondering, grabbing some bargains at the plant sales, and a very good cream tea. From cottage-style planting to established coastal gardens with sea views, every garden is different — and every one is worth the detour.

Dogs welcome where allowed by particular garden owners.

There is a FREE hop-on-hop-off shuttle bus all weekend, and FREE parking in the Shore Road carpark.

Check out Facebook and the Bonchurch Village website for more details.
