Home Fire Safety Checks - a FREE service provided by the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
With over 500 domestic fire deaths, and over 16,000 fire related injuries, the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is offering Home Fire Safety Checks to increase the public's awareness in domestic fire safety.
HOUSE FIRES KILL
- Fire can start anytime, any place
- Fire can start very easily and spread very quickly
- At worst, fire in the home will claim the lives of occupants and destroy all possesions in minutes, but even a small fire can be descructive and leave smells, which may linger for weeks
GET YOUR HOME CHECKED BY THE EXPERTS
At your request, your Community Firefighter will:
- Visit your home to carry out a home fire safety check
- Offer fire safety advice
- Check location and function of smoke alarms and, where necessary, assist with installation and/or maintenance
