We meet every Thursday morning 10am - 12 noon in St John’s Church Hall, and also every other Saturday at The View Cafe 2pm - 4pm.
We welcome new members. Always a warm and friendly meeting with tea, coffee, cake and biscuits. Each session is £2 (current 2026). You don’t have to bring anything along, as you can just come for a chat and company.
Whether you like crafts or not come along and enjoy a cuppa and a piece of cake.
Everyone is welcome whether to chat or learn to knit and crochet or maybe patchwork or cross stitch. We also make custom items so whether it is something for a new baby, hats and scarves, blankets and throws, cushions, pet blankets, knitted animals, bags, or something you would like knitted for yourself or as a gift then please pop along and see us.
We make a lot of other items too including hand made teddy bears, tea cosies and small toys.
A percentage of anything bought is donated to the charity that we are supporting at that time. If you are charity in need of knitted/crochet bits and pieces, or items for fundraising for a charity, then please contact the group and we will try our best to help you.
Knitting Service
We also offer a service for anything you would like help with knitting/crocheting etc., especially if an item has been started but is now not able to be completed. Maybe you just need some advice on a project you are doing.
We have many members that can teach you to knit etc. Some months back a lady popped in with a babies quilt her mum had started before she passed and we were able to get it finished for her – We have some very clever members in Woollies and we all gain a sense of achievement to be able to help make someone a little happier with our shared achievements within our community and other villages.
Please give join our Facebook Group Wroxall Woollies, and we hope to see you soon.
We also love donations of craft materials including card making, wools and fabrics.
